Penny's Ready For Her Close-Up

It seems that everyone has Sex and The City fever in New York. The TV series still holds a special place in the hearts of Gothamites, and we're more than ready to put down our $11.25 for our ticket to the big screen version--yes, that's how much a movie ticket costs in our great city--at the end of this month. So it was no surprise that the biggest star on a recent red carpet was the King Charles Spaniel Penny, who plays Charlotte's dog Elizabeth Taylor.

Penny and fellow celebrity pooches including Camille, the Jack Russell featured in ads for COACH, and Bravo, a retriever starring alongside Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Wiesz in the upcoming flick, The Lovely Bones, all gathered to celebrate the launch of Healthy Mouth, a new dental care water for dogs and cats. Among the humans who walked the red carpet were Jorge and Jonathan from the new series Groomer Has It, which is my kind of reality TV.

Anyone who knows me has been subjected to endless stories about my Terrier mutt, George. I adopted him 6 months ago after my friend Nuy found him in her neighborhood park, George wasn't ready for his red carpet debut, but the other party hopping pups in attendance were treated to free dental evaluations, puppy portraits and dogtinis. That's a dog's life in New York City.--Bronwyn Barnes

I love that you paid tribute to all the screen-worthy pups at I.S.! And how cool that you and your friend rescued a dog :-)
